Research Interests

My aim is to understand the relationship between nuclear organization and genome expression in plant developmental phase transitions. My research focus on describing the dynamics and functional relevance of nuclear re-organization events during cell fate establishment, particularly in the reproductive phase in Arabidopsis. In the past years, our group has developed expertise in quantitative, high-resolution imaging of chromatin components and modifications in single cells, in whole-mount Arabidopsis reproductive structures. In combination with genetic perturbations and expression analyses, this approach will allow establishing a causative link between nuclear organization dynamics and cellular plasticity in plants.
